Affordable Psychotherapy in Bristol and Online
Hi I’m Emma, a psychotherapist in training offering low-cost therapy in Bristol and online.
I’m a senior student studying Core Process psychotherapy at the Karuna institute and am a trainee member of the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).
This mindfulness-based approach creates a safe and supportive space where together we can explore your experiences and challenges. Maybe you feel overwhelmed by emotions or by life, maybe you feel numb, frozen or uninspired, whatever you bring I welcome all parts of you.
I understand it can be difficult to reach out for support or to try something new and even to know where to start when finding a therapist. I invite you to a free initial meeting online where we can think about your needs and see how it would feel to work together.
Sessions run weekly from my practice in Stokes Croft and online. I charge £40 per session, and have space for a couple of concessionary rates.
The Therapy
Core Process psychotherapy brings together western psychological approaches with Buddhist insight into the workings of the mind. From this foundation we can explore your unique experience with compassion, learning to listen to the heart and honour our needs.
This process is guided by you, there can be a focus on the present moment, a mindful experiencing of the sensations that we may feel in the body and an awareness of the client-therapist relationship as it plays out. Growth isn’t necessarily about fixing or healing it’s about our relationship to our experience.
About Me
As an artist, designer, filmmaker, with a wealth of creative and life experience I’ve come to psychotherapy through my own explorations into what this human journey is all about.
Spirituality and psychotherapy continue to feed my fascination with the mind, existence, nature, relationship, connection and growth.
Psychotherapy is a joint practice, while the focus is on you the client, the learning is mutual and I am deeply appreciative and privileged to be part of my clients’ journeys.
